The Door, Part 2




The original iron door latch mechanism

            Covered the mechanism
            Drilled a hole for the deadbolt

The door is thicker then the deadbolt allows so carved and wood filled a recess

The varnished door and the edge of the screen door with it's pocket back in place

The latch, the deadbolt and the door stop

The iron door stop is attached with screws,

only

Inside: puttied the 1/8” glass. Screwed, but did not silicone, this inner frame.

Outside: puttied the glass. Screwed and siliconed the exterior metal frame.

On departure day, the key wouldn't turn; I had mis-alligned inner works after painting.
