The condensed story:

_______________

How it was done:
Removing the old plywood roof over the extension added 31 years ago, which included a hand-carved Mexican eagle at the time.
The slope was too steep so I raised the front. I will need to be able to climb over this.
I fiberglass-taped the wood to metal seams.
Filled the new wood to old wood seams.
Insulated. Later I found my pry bar in there while removing the ceiling from below
Added a drip edge
Primed the drip edge. Layed flashing where the plywood meets the old roof; then tar.
Roofing paper
Pried the edge of the old tin roof up and worked the shingle under it.
Likewise a full length 6 inch strip of flashing and one heck of a lot of clear silicone.
Reattached the tin with my glue-toothpick-screw recipe through tin, flashing and shingle.
Nailed the flashing through the shingle into the old plywood roof. The ends were screwed in.
More tape where the extension meets the metal and canvas. Then all was primed.
The outer corner of the extension was taped. Painted beige and white top coats.
Looking up into the insulated awning where that strip of ceiling was removed.
The tin roof and the flashing have been coated with an aluminum paint.
