A Casual Cat |
When I first saw this cat strolling down the street, it was so casual that I thought I was glancing over at a dog. I suddenly realized that it was not. I had no clue at the time what kind it was, as I was torn between intelligently freezing in place or running to get my camera. I did the latter. By the time I could get off a shot, it was approaching our neighbor's door. When I saw one again 5 days later, I had by then learned that this Desert Lynx was a bobcat / house cat hybrid, prized by many as pets. It took this cat 1 minute & 31 seconds to traverse the span between the first & the final shots (images 2 to 10). |
