This one is fairly shallow. I hit bedrock and decided not to dig any further.

Keeping it and the surrounding soil wet for a day or two.

Since this concrete is “cemented” directly to the bedrock, it is probably as good as. or even stronger then, a 3' piling that only has sand or soil below it.

This post is not critical; it serves primarily to brace post #3 and to give the trailer rack a look of completeness.

One day that 2x8 attached to the top will be replaced  with one extending to another post, and decking laid on top of that.

(Still got to get a foot under this one.)
