Lined the 3' hole with roofing paper and dumped some wet rocks in to hold it in place.
Filled it with concrete and inserted a barbed PVC anchor. Will gently spill some water on it now and then over the next couple of days.
Bored a hole up the post and temporarily placed it over the PVC. Still needs its aluminum foot and a total linseed oiling, 50/50.
