A High Desert Garden in 2001







These are a some of the thousands of plants that are alive and well on my land.
If you stand at a distance and gloss over them, the originals (below, 2nd row)
may be what you see – stark, dry, almost dead – especially in the dead of summer.

What I have come to notice is that if I sit on a rock and look down at a plant, I can see color,
a living plant – very much alive. In the enhanced images below (1st row), I have tried to bring
that color out. I did not add color; I simply enhanced the color that is already there.
