Basically, this lets you pay with a credit or debit card through a reputable firm (Amazon or PayPal), since this website does not have a shopping cart. Hence, we never see your private financial information, and it is a great way to keep records.

Cash and check payments do not work for me. I do not have a local bank; all of my money is online at Capital One 360 (formerly ING Bank), to which all of my income (pension, Social Security, tax refunds) is automatically deposited, and from which all of my bills are automatically paid. Meanwhile, it earns better interest than most.

When I receive a check or cash for something, I don't know what to do with it. I've been known to give the former to my wife since she has a real bank account, but I never see that money again.

I do not like a big wad of cash in my wallet; it takes forever to get rid of since I intentionally use cards for almost everything. Checks have to be put in the mail, which is a minor nuisance. (I did try scanning a recent hand-written check into my phone, but 360's computer couldn't read it.)

The more automated I can make everything the better, especially if it begins and ends with an online transaction, such as selling a photo from one of my galleries, including Pinterest, or contracting a new or rebuilt website, or developing a 3D rendition of a proposed addition. Etc.

Thanks, Van
